Impromptu Party Tonight!!

On very short notice, I'll be throwing a party at the house tonight to welcome "Homie" Matt back to SC!!
If anyone want to join us for the festivities, call me or leave me a message and I'll tell you how to get here.
Things will start at around 7:30pm. BYOB since I have only half a case to share. I've got some vodka and the grocery store is a block up the road if we need more supplies!
There's plenty of space for parking and no neighbors to complain about the noise!

So, I've been neglecting LJ lately. Actually, neglecting the internet in general. I've had so much to do witht he new house that I haven't had time for much else. Still have a few boxes to move. A tiny bit left to unpack. .......then I get to brake in my new rakes and shovel!!! XD

Damn. But it is nice having a house. Lease to own and all. I feel compelled to work on this place and make improvements.

Starting working the new job today. No more training for me. It was pretty easy. I was invited to the bar after work and hung out with a friend and the ceo. Big money talks funny. But it was a nice venture.

I had a free lunch from John today. Japanese 4 teh win!

Then I was treated to BBQ by Paul. Free food all day long. I can't go wrong!

The tread mill is up. My drums are in place. I'm still lacking a couch. But otherwise, everthing is great. Money may be a little tight until my first paycheck from the new job.

I got a lot accomplished. Had a test. Bought Voltron season 1 for cheap! XD Met a friend and wasted time downtown and watched V for Vendetta. Great movie! Even got myself a copy of 3D Studio Max to fool around with. There's going to be a BIG learning curve on that one, but I think I can manage. Feeling more artsy as the days go by and starting to act on that impulsion. Still planning on hiking tomorrow morning before Crispy's game. I know it will do me good!

Um..and I got paid $50 for 20 minutes of work; all for just setting up a wireless network for a friend of the family! Woot! So I spurged at the coffee underground and got some chocolate covered expreso beans! Going to bump up my laptop to 2 Gb of ram so I can run the new software. Rafting and six flags trips are in the works. Everything else is gravey.

I'm a complete asshole.
It seems that is the general concensus.
I drove the final nail into the coffin that was a friendship between Morgane and me.
She doesn't want to talk to me anymore.
She hates me. That's apparent enough.
Crispy told me something he had heard from his sister and I asked her about it.
I guess I could have been less blunt; less accusing.
I stupid. Slightly buzzing.
I feel like shit.
My eyes are burning.
Yeah. I don't think I'm going to get into this any further.
On top of everything else, I had a very shitty day at work.
Looking for alternate forms of employment. Anything with less stress and more flexible hours.
I just got done playing hours of DDR and drinking 6 beers and some vodka. The buzz only lasted 5 minutes, but it made me realize that I'm handling things in the wrong manner. That's almost walking down the path of alcoholism. That's something I don't want and refuse to get into. I think I might get up a little early Sunday morning and hike up Table Rock and meditate.
School is still going well.
That's about the only positive thing in my life now.
Finding it hard to find anything good left.
I'm not getting any roommates. I've decided to get a place to myself. I'll finally have a place to myself for once. Peace when I want it. A place where I can center myself and clear my thoughts and try to gain some sort of focus in my life.

With that said, I'm learning an ugly truth. One I've learned numerous times before, but one I'm doomed to repeat. Sometimes you really don't know who your friends are. This has become abundantly clear to me in the past several days. People whom I once considered close leave me feeling slighted and hollow. I feel angry and sick to my stomach at the same time. I want to scream and puke at the same time and I don't know which feeling is greater. More than anything, I feel like moving some place where nobody knows me.

This feeling will pass, I'm sure. But I wonder if my friend count will be lower. Somehow, I know it will be and that makes me sad. I never asked for this shit. So why is it I'm getting shit now?

Dreams 20-03-06

Occasionally, I'll remember a dream and toss it in a post. Lately (as in the last 2 years) I've been really slack on the matter. This morning I woke up with a dream that was still vivid in my memory. I was at an amusement park with a friend. It was a girl, though I can't recall her face, only that I know we were familiar with each other. We rode the ride until it got to the end of the track where she promptly hopped out and waited for me to do the same. As I lifted the bar and began to stand in the car, the coaster started with a jolt, backward on the track. (Yes, I know any normal person with even the slightest iota of perception would have known this through simple observation, but it's a dream, what can I say?) I start to lose my balance as the car continues in reverse and starts to hit the incline of the loop when I get tossed from my seat. I manage to catch a part of the car and seem to have hold of it as the car is going through the loop; just my hands and one foot connecting with the car. I remember feeling the pressure in this dream. Much like the G's you'd feel on a real roller coaster. The pressure was noticeable. I remember as the coaster slowed a bit and leveled with the ground, I let go and rolled, much like what I would expect hobos to do when jumping from a moving car. And aside from some dirt and minor scratched, I was unhurt. Another point of interest is that there was no one else in the dream. Just me, the girl, the coaster, and the dark night. I thought I'd leave this dream open to interpretation from you guys. Maybe you have an idea on what it means? Or maybe it is just a dream after all...

Happy St Patrick's day! Today we celebrate the day St. Patrick liberated us from domestic beers and saved our frosted mugs with the ever-satisfying, foam capped brew from the old country. Tonight after work, I'll raise a toast to all, be they Irish by decent, or Irish for the day! Tonight I'll trade tales of the elusive haggis that, to this very day, roams the Irish emerald valleys bleating it's ghastly noise! Dance a jig! Kiss a lad or lady and celebrate this merry occasion! Things are going well for me. Morgane came over Saturday and spent the night with us and we had breakfast at Denny's afterward. Then I went to the Greenville zoo and met up with Will and Liz. Kicked the hackey sack maybe twice. Visited a ranch and saw Liz's horses and got equine drool on my hands and wrists. Work is slow for a Monday but we might have a few storms tonight, so that means a busy week after. I ate my lunch atop the turret of a tank and watched the trees sway in the wind. Not much else to say for now. Might get sloshed on Friday night and celebrate the Irishman in me. The weekend holds infinite possibilities and an adventure guaranteed! Hope everyone else is having an equally good time, if not better!

But I'm at the level of sick where it's almost fun. Like...I'm walking, but I have no idea where gravity went; much like buzzing from a heaping helping of alcohol. And then I hear my roommates say things that they really didn't say...it's amusing. Currently I can't decide if I'm hot or cold and all I really want is German chocolate. Kinder chocolate to be precise. I need more OJ and vitamins and my antibiodics won't arrive until Wednesday.

I'm going to work in the morning. I hope they'll tell me to go home after I've proven to them I'm an ill bastard and a sad panda.
